What is a Beachbody Coach? Let's take a closer look.

Happy Monday!  It's time to start a new week and soon enough, we will be starting a new month!  It's crazy how time flies!

Becoming a Beachbody Coach, What is a Beachbody Coach, Work from Home, Entrepreneur, Home Fitness Business, Beachbody Coach, Beachbody Coach information, Successfully Fit, Lisa Decker So, I'm going to keep this blog post somewhat short and sweet.  If you follow me, then it's no surprise to you to hear me talk and post about how becoming a Beachbody Coach has changed my life, and my outlook on life.  I know, you might be rolling your eyes right now.  I know that's what I was doing over 3 years ago when I would read posts from other Coaches saying the same thing.  I  mean, come on.  A Beachbody Coach?  What the heck do they do?  Isn't that a pyramid scheme?  It's not a "real job."  There is no way I could ever make that work for me.

Yep, those were the thoughts going through MY mind before opening up my eyes a bit wider.  You see, I sometimes think that the title "Beachbody Coach" can be misleading.  Do we all really have beach bodies?  Is that a goal in life?  Yes, I even questioned the title!  Believe me, while I did kind of jump in with two feet, I was also a HUGE skeptic. In fact, I spent MONTHS researching this job before finally talking with my personal Coach about it.

Something that I DIDN'T have or come across in my research was a general free group to learn about what Coaching REALLY was. We all know we can't believe everything we read on the Internet so having a small group to learn some of the details was something that I would definitely have taken advantage of.

That brings me to what I have to offer to you today!  And that is.... a 3 DAY VIRTUAL GLIMPSE into what exactly Beachbody Coaching is!  Yes, this is all done online.  Actually, it's through a closed Facebook group but don't worry, if you don't have Facebook I can send you the posts each day via email.

3 Day Beachbody Coaching Sneak Peek

What's in it for you?
Information, more information, and even more information!  Sorry, I'm a detailed person so laying it all out upfront is something that I like to do.  Beginning tomorrow (TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27th) I will be posting within my closed Facebook group all about those ins and outs of being a Coach. Yes, you will hear some success stories.  Yes, you will hear about the logistics of how you make money, how you earn monthly rewards, and even yearly {amazing} trips!  And yes, I am going to tackle those misconceptions that everyone has.
What's the catch?
Honestly, there is no catch! This group is 100% free!  You don't have to make a commitment, sign up for anything, purchase anything, or make any sort of obligation.  You simply take about 5-10 minutes on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday to check out the handful of posts that I will be posting throughout each day, and you ask questions when needed.
---> I do want to note that this group is only for those who are not already working with a Beachbody Coach or for those who are already Coaches themselves. <---

And now I ask....WHY NOT YOU?!!

Sometimes as an MLM consultant we get a bad rap and I can't disagree that there are consultants out there who may be taking a wrong approach. I can't disagree that there are even companies that aren't so great! There are also people who go to work each morning and don't do a good job. There are even non MLM companies out there that aren't real great either! But when it comes down to it, we are people who are taking a non-traditional approach to a career. We are people who are putting hard work in to being an entrepreneur, building a business from our homes for whatever reasons we have. We are people who are sharing products that we personally LOVE! We have goals. We have dreams. We have vision.

If you have products that you love, why NOT share them with others? I've recently posted a few times about how becoming a Beachbody Coach has truly changed my approach at life. It has changed my views / opinions on a lot of things! By sharing products that I love and by feeding my passion of helping others get healthy, I am able to have that flexible schedule, extra time with my kids, and income to contribute to my family.

If Coaching is something that intrigues you...If it's something that you are open to learning about...If it's something that scares you, but at the same time gives you that desirable feeling, then I invite YOU to my 3 day sneak peek into what Coaching is all about.

You just have to have an open mind to learn about the opportunity. If you'd like to be added to the closed group, send me a message or click HERE to join!  Before accepting you in I will be sending you a quick message to confirm that you are not already working with a Coach.

We begin on Tuesday September 27th!!

Peanut Butter Chocolate Balls

If you are a peanut butter lover (and if you like chocolate) then this is a MUST TRY!!  These peanut butter chocolate balls would be a perfect addition to any party (even over the holidays) or you could store them in the freezer for when you need a sweet treat!  This recipe came directly from 21 Day Fix trainer, Autumn Calabrese. It was featured in her cooking show called Fixate, which is found exclusive on Beachbody on Demand. I do want to note, my approach in melting the chocolate is different from what the recipe called for.  I opted to melt it using the microwave and the original recipe melted it using the stove top.   It was a fun recipe to make with my 4 year old daughter and yes, it definitely passed the taste test for the entire family!

Ingredients:
Serving Size: 1 ball = 1 yellow and 1 tsp according to color coded portion control plan
  •  Parchment Paper
  • 1 cup all-natural creamy peanut butter (only ingredient should be peanuts)
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch (I used GMO-free)
  • 3/4 cup coconut flour
  • 2 Tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 8 oz semisweet chocolate (62% cocoa or higher)
  • 2 tsp extra-virgin coconut oil, unrefined

Directions:
  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Combine peanut butter, cornstarch, coconut flour, and maple syrup in a medium bowl.  Blend well with a spatula.  The mixture will turn in to a dough.
  3. Shape dough into 24 1-inch balls.  If dough is sticking to your hands, spray your hands with a little coconut oil spray. Place each ball on the prepared baking sheet and stick a toothpick in the center of each ball.  Place in refrigerator for approximately 20 minutes.

  4. When peanut butter balls are ready, place chocolate and 2 tsp coconut oil in a microwavable bowl.  Heat in microwave at 50% power in 30 minute increments until chocolate is just melted. Be sure not to burn the chocolate.
  5. Remove balls from the refrigerator. Hold each ball by the toothpick and dip into chocolate, swirling to coat.  Use small spoon as needed to help coat each ball. Return to baking sheet and repeat until all peanut butter balls are covered.

Fit for Fall Challenge

Good Afternoon and Happy Monday!!  I don't know how the weather is around you but here in central PA it is beautiful!!  The mornings have been nice and cool, the sun has been shining and those back to school routines are starting to settle in place.  This is such a hectic time of year for everyone, especially parents!  With school activities starting back up, evening homework, and early bedtimes, things can get pretty crazy!  I'm sad to see Summer come to an end but I have to admit, I LOVE Fall!!

So here's the deal.... regardless of what we sometimes tell ourselves, we all know that there is never a perfect time to "get healthy."  Think about it.  We ALWAYS have an excuse!  During the Summer months the classic excuses were:
"I'm going on vacation."
"I want to relax."
"There are too many holiday picnics / family get togethers."

I really could go on but I'll spare you!   For Fall a lot of times I hear the "I'm busy" excuse.  Guess what, we are ALWAYS busy!  It's just a different kind of busy that comes with every month and season.  BUT, I have to tell you.  I actually think that there IS a time of year that seems to be a bit easier (for lack of a better word) to change your lifestyle around for the better.  You want to know when? Right now of course!!

Why?

Fit for Fall Challenge, Online health and fitness accountability groups, Country Heat, 21 Day Fix, Meal Planning, Meal Planning Support, Fitness Accountability, Recipe Groups, Beachbody on Demand, Simple!  Many schedule changes are happening right now.  Many routines are changing and new routines are settling in to place.  Maybe this year you are carpooling to soccer practice, band practice, adding on weekend football games, etc.  With those different activities, as parents we have to adjust.  So if your life is already going through a change and adjusting to a new schedule, then WHY NOT incorporate some healthy eating and fitness into your plan?  I know I know. Right now you are thinking "how on Earth am I going to have the time for THAT?"  Honestly, we just have to MAKE time for things that are important.  It's important to drop your kids off, pick them up, attend games and functions, go to work, etc.  Your health is also important! Even if you aren't a parent, life is just BUSY!  If you don't care for yourself then you'll get run down and possibly even sick!  SO much in life can come out of making good choices when it comes to your health and fitness.

So how can I help you with that?

Don't worry, I've got you covered!  I know first hand what it's like to be that busy mom or that busy person in general.  I can't sit here and say that I have it all figured out, but I can tell you that what I do with my health and fitness is working for me. So why wouldn't I want to share that with you?!
Fit for Fall Challenge, Online health and fitness accountability groups, Country Heat, 21 Day Fix, Meal Planning, Meal Planning Support, Fitness Accountability, Recipe Groups, Beachbody on Demand,

On Monday, September 19th I am kicking off my Fit for Fall Challenge!  This group is designed for those of you who:
  •  are way too busy to figure it all out on your own.
Fit for Fall Challenge, Online health and fitness accountability groups, Country Heat, 21 Day Fix, Meal Planning, Meal Planning Support, Fitness Accountability, Recipe Groups, Beachbody on Demand,
  •  need some support, motivation, and accountability.
  •  want to get (and stay) healthy.
  •  want to have access to meal plans and templates to create your own
  •  want family friendly recipes and tips
  •  want to lose weight and/or tone up
  •  want short, yet effective, workouts that range from dancing to lifting weights
  •  want a private group of women who are all working towards being healthy - women who are positive - women who share their ups and their downs - women who encourage each other no matter what kind of day you are having.
What are the requirements?

Firstly, my groups are for my personal customers and Coaches. So, if you are already actively working with a Coach then I encourage you to reach out to him or her to see what your options are.  If you aren't actively working with your Coach or if you don't have one, then I'd be glad to help!

Fit for Fall Challenge, Online health and fitness accountability groups, Country Heat, 21 Day Fix, Meal Planning, Meal Planning Support, Fitness Accountability, Recipe Groups, Beachbody on Demand,
While everyone in the group is working towards staying on track to a healthy lifestyle, the program that everyone is using isn't necessarily going to be the same. I will personally help match you up with a program that meets your needs / requirements.  There are a plethora of workouts available to you ranging from dancing (like Cize and Country Heat) to cardio / weight training (like 21 Day Fix, 22 Minute Hard Corps...).  Have no fear, I've gone through all of the programs and have first hand knowledge of what you can expect, which will help me give you recommendations.

The other component that is added among all of the women in my group is Shakeology. Shakeology is a nutrient dense shake (not a protein shake) that will provide you with your daily does of nutrients (many of which you wouldn't otherwise get).  Among the various benefits, getting a boost of natural energy and curbing cravings are the two benefits that I love the most.  I have been drinking Shakeology daily for over 3 years and I still look forward to it every single morning.  I drink it for breakfast first thing in the morning and it keeps me full for 2 1/2 to 3 hours before my next meal.  You aren't drinking multiple shakes a day.  Out of FIVE meals, this is only ONE of them!  Don't worry, if you don't want to continue with Shakeology for whatever reason, you don't have to!  Plus, it does come with a 30 day money back guarantee.

When you combine a fitness program and Shakeology you get what's called a Challenge Pack.  Aside from this discounted bundle pack, it also comes with $2 shipping, my special September promotion, and a 30 day trial to Beachbody on Demand!

Fit for Fall Challenge, Online health and fitness accountability groups, Country Heat, 21 Day Fix, Meal Planning, Meal Planning Support, Fitness Accountability, Recipe Groups, Beachbody on Demand,
Beachbody on Demand is a site where you can not only stream your chosen program within 24 hours of purchase, but you can also access A TON of other programs that you can try out!! In addition to workouts, you can also access an exclusive Fixate cooking show with 21 Day Fix trainer Autumn Calabrese and her brother, Bobby Calabrese.  So far the video recipes have been FANTASTIC! It's nice that you get to watch how to make it and then you can print out the recipe AND grocery list!

So what do you say? Does this sound like something you want?  I have to say, accountability was the missing piece for me.  Anyone can get a fitness program and Shakeology and try it by themselves.  Believe me, I've tried program after program and diet after diet that just didn't work. Once I got hooked up with my Coach and plugged in to an accountability group, I was set!  It's the same now too! Sure, I am a Coach, but I need accountability too!  Having a group to check in with, seeing how others are overcoming their bad days but still getting their workout in, or passing up on the junk, is so inspiring! It's that constant support that helps all of us create new positive habits.

Country Heat Week 4 (Final Week) Review

Country Heat Week 4

Country Heat is officially COMPLETE!!  What happened in Week 4? What is my overall opinion of the program? Who exactly is it for? Don't worry, I've got you covered!

For starters, there are no new workouts in Week 4 which means you can really focus on repeating your final 8 workouts with as much effort and drive as possible.  I say 8 workouts because once you complete Week 4, there are two more workouts to do in Week 5.  In fact, on the last day you get to pick whatever your favorite workout is!  I chose Down and Dirty!  Below you will see my meal plan that I used for my final week, as well as the order of workouts.  I really liked that the final week schedule included all of the workouts because it was a nice change each day!

As you know, planning out, prepping, and sticking to your planned meals is super important!  While I did lose 4 inches overall (which I am happy with), I know it could have been more if I would have put a bit more focus on my daily food intake.

I didn't try any new recipes, but I did want to share with you one of my staple morning snack recipes: Mini Veggie Egg Muffins!  I love these because they are a super easy / quick recipe, and it provides me with 3 days worth of my mid-morning snack!

Mini Veggie Egg Muffins
 Ingredients:
  •  Nonstick cooking spray
  • 6 large eggs
  • sea salt and ground black pepper  to taste
  • 5 oz Baby Spinach, finely chopped
  • 1/2 medium red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/2 medium green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 green onion, finely sliced
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
2. Lightly coat muffin tin with spray.
3. Place eggs in a large blow, whisk to blend, and season with salt and pepper if desired.
4. Evenly pour egg mixture into muffin cups.
5. Fill green 21 Day Fix container with veggie mixture and separate in to 2 egg cups at a time.  You will fill the container a total of 3 times in order to split among all 6 egg cups.
6. Bake for approx. 15-20 minutes or until toothpick inserted into the center of cups comes out clean.
**Store in refrigerator and heat up in microwave when ready to eat.  Remember, you get TWO per serving!**

I, of course, also stuck with my daily Shakeology and still do!  You really can't go wrong with it!  Why WOULDN'T you want to drink a milkshake every day?  Oh, and one that is healthy too!! It really doesn't get any easier.  It takes a couple of minutes to blend up and go each morning (which is GREAT for busy parents!).  While not required, I DO suggest incorporating Shakeology for at least your first round of Country Heat. You want to get the best results possible and Shakeology will provide you with nutrients that you most likely don't and won't get otherwise.  It will also give you that natural boost of energy and curb your cravings for those darn temptations that are constantly surrounding us.

So what are my overall thoughts on the program?

Country Heat, Country Heat Meal Plan, Country Heat Results, Country Heat Week 4, 21 Day Fix, Health and Fitness Accountability Groups, Fit for Fall Challenge, Meal Planning, Successfully Fit, Lisa Decker,
Country Heat Week 4
Honestly, I truly believe this program can be adapted for ANYONE at ANY fitness level.  Are some of the moves tricky?  YES!  But don't worry! There is a move breakdown of each program  that you can watch (it's optional) so that you can make sure you are using the correct form. Also, you get to do each workout a few times within the scheduled week so by the end of the week you are pretty good at it!  The nutrition is on point with this program as well.  If you have read my past reviews then you know it follows the color coded container system (developed from the 21 Day Fix).  While it does take some time to plan out at first, it's actually really simple!  You complete a formula to figure out how many of each container you get, pick foods from each of the food lists (which offer a ton of variety), and plug them in to your day!

I admit, this program was stepping me out of my comfort zone. I typically like more intense and traditional workouts but this was just what my body needed.  It provided me with enough of a challenge while still increasing my heart rate and giving me a great sweat each day!   If you aren't interested in using weights / equipment and just want a good cardio workout that has fun Country music, then this is definitely for you!

Country Heat Week 4
Another thing that I REALLY liked about this program is that it was something that my 4 and 6 year old daughters loved too! It has become super important to me these past few years to show just how essential your health is. By doing those little things like exercising in front of the girls (even when they were babies), talking about healthy foods vs non healthy foods, and just being an overall healthy role model for them has made them aware of their choices.  Now don't get me wrong.  They are not 100% healthy when it comes to eating.  Yes, they like their junk and would probably pick any type of junk over something like veggies any day of the week! They're kids!  But they get it!!  They get what they should and shouldn't have and have developed a great balance.  In terms of Country Heat, they had a blast working out with me, which made this program even more fun!! They didn't do the workouts every single day but there were PLENTY of times when one of them would ask "when I was dancing" each day. You can catch videos of them in my other Country Heat reviews.

For past reviews on this program check out the links below:

So what do you think?  Does Country Heat sound like something you'd like to try? On Monday, September 19th, I am kicking off my brand new Fit for Fall accountability group!  I am in the works of getting the group all set up and will be opening spots for it on Monday, September 12th.  If you are someone who has started and stopped program after program and diet after diet, then it's time to get you the support, motivation, and accountability that you need to help yourself stay on track and develop a permanent lifestyle change!!

I am accepting up to 10 new participants and want YOU to be one of them!!  If you'd like to try out Country Heat, great!  If not, don't worry! I can help you get hooked up with another program to meet your needs.  Ladies, it's time to get your confidence back and there is no better way than to get healthy and be a part of a group full of positivity!

Country Heat Week 3 Review

What is Country Heat, Country Heat, Dance Cardio, Dance Workout, Meal Planning, Country Heat Meal Plan, Country Heat Results, Country Heat Week 3, Family Workouts, Successfully Fit, Lisa Decker,
Country Heat Week 3
Happy Friday!!  Not only am I happy that it's Friday, but I'm THRILLED that it is also September!!  I LOVE the Fall season so bring on the cooler temps, leaves, and pumpkins!  I'm also happy to be starting fresh with a new month.  To me, a new month means it's time to set new goals.  I have completed week 3 of Country Heat and am currently going through the final week.  I can not say enough about how much fun this program is!  It truly is cardio dancing to Country Music! I love how each week the moves get a little bit quicker and the sweat just continues to pour.  Week 3 is no different!

In week 3 you add the final new workout called Trail Ride.  I'm pretty sure that I have decided that this is my FAVORITE workout of the program! It really amps things up and the moves are fun too! Even my daughter loved it!

The playlist for Trail Ride includes:
What is Country Heat, Country Heat, Dance Cardio, Dance Workout, Meal Planning, Country Heat Meal Plan, Country Heat Results, Country Heat Week 3, Family Workouts, Successfully Fit, Lisa Decker,
Country Heat with Kids
  • Bar Hopping - Sandra Lyon
  • Summertime Blues - Alan Jackson
  • Cotton Eyed Joed - Rednex
  • Be My Baby - John Michael Montgomery
  • Born to Boggie - Hank Williams
  • One that Got Away - Jake Owen

I've posted a couple of videos and pictures with my girls and this workout because this is really a program that you can do with your entire family. The moves are not strenuous, there are no weights (or any equipment for that matter), and it's fun!!  Even if the little ones can't get the moves right, they still have a good time doing it!  I always tell parents of young kids to just press play with their kiddo in the room.  Sure, the first several times you may get interruptions, they may get in the way, you may need to pause here and there.  But what happens is THEY GET USED TO IT and then they even join in with you!  There is NO excuse to use your kids as the reason why you couldn't do this program.

Here is your sneak peek of our favorite workout, Trail Ride!

video

The other workouts within Week 3 are ones that have already been completed within the first 2 weeks. It's a nice mix and the main reason why I like the set up is because you can really push yourself in week 3. You know the workouts (other than Trail Ride), you know the moves, there is nothing else new, and that means you can pull your knees up higher, squeeze your core tighter, or just push yourself to get an even better workout!

Now, about that nutrition.....

I've been doing pretty well with my nutrition.  I take time every single weekend to plan out my week which includes both my main meals and snacks.  I've had the occasional cheats here and there which most likely have derailed my progress a bit, but I have been back on track these past few days and have no plans to overindulge this weekend! Here's the thing...and I say this all of the time.... You can dance your little heart out. You can workout until the sweat is just POURING off of you. But if you don't control what goes in to your mouth then you will NOT get the intended results!!  If you are eating a small bowl of ice cream every night (justifying it because it's a "small" bowl), you are only hurting your results. This is all under the assumption that you want to lose weight and tone up.

Chocolate Shakeology
I am of course sticking to my daily shakeology, which I look forward to every single morning.  Lately I've even thrown in a second shake one or two times a week to help with those darn sweet cravings. Shakeology has been a life saver for me! Aside from the pure convenience,  it helps me get my daily nutrients in, which I wasn't otherwise getting in the past.  It DOES make a difference!  But the biggest benefit I feel is the overall healthy energy I get.  As a busy mom of young daughters I need all of the energy I can get!

So here you can see my week 3 meal plan that I followed.  Yes, it takes time to do this but it is absolutely worth it! It's nice to not have to think throughout the day "what should we have for dinner?"  And it's great to have my snacks prepped and ready to go!

One of my favorite morning snacks if I am tired of having my eggs is oatmeal!  Seriously, I never thought I would say that.  Since I was little, sugary cereal has been my go-to every morning until I started drinking Shakeology!  Yep, that terrible habit lasted through most of my 20's!  Below you can see a delicious looking bowl of oatmeal (Old Fashioned Oats) with strawberries, blueberries, and even a tsp of some all natural peanut butter!

I also tried a new recipe that came straight out of the Country Heat Eating Plan.  It is called Turkey and Sweet Potato Hash.  It obviously made my blog which means it was delicious!
