If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram then you may have noticed some big news that Beachbody announced this week!  Customers and Coaches have a brand new option that is truly the revolution of at-home fitness!! I can remember back in the day using my old Pilates VCR tapes and then thinking that DVD's were just the absolutely coolest invention! So, for a greater part of my life I collected DVD after DVD of movies, workouts, games, etc.  When Beachbody first announced their concept of Beachbody on Demand in January of 2015 I wasn't that excited. I mean, why would I need that if I have my DVD's, right?  Using my laptop, ipad, iphone, and/or smart TV to access my workouts?  That's too much work!  But as the world evolves we are seeing more and more of live streaming and streaming of movies, TV shows, and now, workouts!  Things change!! And a lot of times, they change for the better!

So, as a Coach I gave in and tried out Beachbody on Demand and boy am I glad I did!  Times are changing and I would expect Beachbody to be right on top of that!  For well over a year now I've been streaming my workouts right through Beachbody on Demand! Why?
#1 it's easy and convenient! (no more commercials / ads).
#2 I can take my workouts anywhere I go.
#3 I don't have to worry about scratching a DVD and causing it to skip (let alone losing it all together!).

 How can I stream my workouts?
  • You have a handful of options when it comes to accessing Beachbody on Demand.   I personally use my laptop, go in to my browser, pull up the website, and I'm all set! My husband uses our iPad where we have the BOD app, which you can also save workouts on for instances when you don't have access to WiFi.  You can also use the app on your iphone and if you don't have an iphone, you can just access it through your browser like you would on a computer or laptop.  In addition, if you have Apple TV, Amazon Fire Stick, Roku, etc you can use your Smart TV!  I personally don't have those but I do have a Smart TV which means again, I can just pull it up right on the browser.

What are the price options for an All-Access Pack?
  • The Annual All-Access Beachbody on Demand Challenge Pack is $199 US  ($231 Canadian) - for a limited time.  This includes your all-access pass, Portion Fix  nutrition plan, containers, shaker cup, as well as your month supply of Shakeology and access to my 2017 virtual accountability groups.

The nutrition plan for Week 4 goes back to what Week 1 was.  You do not add an extra fruit or an extra healthy fat for this round.  Moving back down in calories while keeping your workouts increased is what will maximize your results!!

In addition to that, I actually added in a 3 Day Refresh throughout this week!  I choose to do this because I felt that I got a tad off track with Thanksgiving week and wanted to reign in my eating habits before I let the holiday temptations take a hold!  I had great success by losing 3 pounds but more importantly, felt refreshed, energized, and back on track!

Along with the Core De Force plan and 3 Day Refresh, I have been keeping up with my daily Shakeology. I really can't say enough about how helpful and beneficial it is to have this on a daily basis.  The holiday "treat" recipes (Candy Cane, Snickerdoodle, Gingerbread, etc) have been coming in handy with so many temptations everywhere! Who WOULDN'T want a milkshake for any meal of the day that tastes like a candy cane, yet it is healthy??!!

 So there you have it!!  Core De Force is complete!  There is only one last thing to share....MY RESULTS!!

Before you jump down to those, let me tell you that I did not follow the program 100%.  I wasn't super strict with my nutrition and truly followed that 80/20 rule.  For the most part I stuck with healthy choices but I let some cheats slip in there as well. I'm excited to kick off round 2 and start the New Year because I do plan to tighten up my nutrition and get even better results!

I saw the greatest benefit in my core area which is exactly what I wanted! I also saw great benefits in my arms.  There are a good bit of push ups in some of the workouts and I definitely feel stronger because of it!

Overall I am very pleased with my results!  This is a program that I can definitely see myself doing multiple rounds of! I'm anxious to get started with the deluxe workouts as well as the TWO exclusive On Demand only workouts (MMA Speed 2.0 and MMA Shred 2.0)!!

I would say that if you need a good stress relieving workout, if you like kickboxing, and if you want to really work that core area while still getting a full body workout in, then go with Core De Force!!

It is a service I provide to my personal customers and Coaches.  The requirement for the group is a Beachbody Challenge Pack.  A Challenge Pack comes with a Beachbody home fitness program, a month supply of Shakeology, discounted $2 shipping, and a free 30 day trial to Beachbody on Demand where you will be able to stream all of your workouts, additional workouts, exclusive workouts, and there is also a fabulous cooking show full of healthy recipes! In addition, I would be your assigned Beachbody Coach and this would grant you access to the group!  And don’t worry, there IS a money back guarantee on all products.  Challenge Packs range in price so there is not a set cost.  If you are worried about what program to do, don’t!  After a few questions from me I will give you some recommendations and match you up with a program to meet your needs. If you are not familiar with Shakeology, it is a nutritional shake that will provide you with your daily dose of dense nutrition.  Some of the benefits that I feel are increased energy, improved digestion, and my cravings  / sweet tooth have definitely been curbed! As I noted above, I am tying this group in to the Beachbody Health Bet!  What’s that?  As they did in September 2016, Beachbody is running a Health Bet that will earn you FREE money just for getting healthy!  The Health Bet dates are January 9th-February 5th. My group is starting one week early so that everyone is ready to go for the 9th.  The requirements of the Health Bet are to log a minimum of 3 workouts per week and to log your Shakeology (with a picture) 5 times per week.  That’s it!  This is accountability at its finest!  The starting pot is $2 million. Good Monday Afternoon! It's cold and dreary here in Central PA so I thought I would sit down with the fire going, a fuzzy blanket, and write a blog post!  I have had quite a few questions coming in after my Week 2 Core De Force review where I shared my midpoint results from the program.  It peaked some interest in many woman and I am so excited to help them get started with what is now my FAVORITE home fitness program!  If you missed my other reviews check them out below:

SO, it's time for a Week 3 update!  Truth be told, I got off track a bit.  Week 3 fell over Thanksgiving week.  I got most of the workouts in, I didn't really overdo it on Thanksgiving, but I just didn't feel good about moving on.  Instead of heading in to Week 4, I decided to repeat Week 3. And you know what? I'm glad I did!!  I felt much more focused, less distracted, got all of my workouts in, and stayed on track with my nutrition for the most part.  At this point I am having that 80/20 balance of eating healthy but still treating myself to a cheat here and there. I didn't need to fully start over, I didn't give up, I didn't create a million excuses. I did what I had to do which was get right back on track! It happens! It's a part of life.  This time of year is tough between the holiday food temptations, shopping, stress of getting everything done, and just the craziness of the holiday season in general!

So what does Week 3 bring?  For starters, the workouts continue to be intense and there are some double days!

Core De Force Week 3
Overall the workouts really pack a punch in terms of burning calories and fat.  I am always a sweaty mess when I'm done!  With that being said, I am still drinking Beachbody's Energize to give me a good boost of energy before my workout. It allows me to push hard, stay better focused, and burn more calories! With the increase in workouts I did notice that I was a bit hungrier than usual; however, that problem is easily solved! In Week 3 of Core De Force you get an extra fruit and an extra healthy fat, which you will need!


 Another bonus is that if you are a Club Member and can access Beachbody on Demand, there are actually 2 additional Core De Force workouts available!  These extra workouts are NOT available to purchase in DVD form. I'm anxious to give those a try once I complete round 1! 

I did follow a meal plan for the third week.  I find it to be so much easier to stay on track when there is a plan in place.

Banana Pie Oatmeal
 I really haven't made anything brand new but I will give you a peek in to a yummy meal that I had.  I typically like my eggs in the morning; however, I sometimes throw in some steel cut oats (or old fashioned oats) too!  Mix those up with 1/2 banana, walnuts, and some cinnamon and you've got yourself a delicious breakfast!


 And as always, I do still incorporate my daily Shakeology. I know that my body is getting the proper nutrients in needs not to mention that it's a meal that takes no brain power to plan out or put together.  It's delicious and fulfilling but also PERFECT for this time of year! Why?  Because there are SO many holiday recipes that you can use with it!!  Candy Cane, Snickerdoodle, Gingerbread, etc.  It's the perfect so
lution to avoid those holiday cookies!

And there you have it! Week 3 is a wrap and I am currently a couple of days in to week 4!!  I can't wait to share my thoughts, results, and upcoming groups where YOU can get started with Core De Force!

Chicken, Sweet Potato and Apples

Here is a delicious dinner to add to the dinner rotation! I found it on the Team Beachbody Blog and it has been husband / family-approved!  I did change up the amount of chicken and sweet potatoes than what was in the original recipe and it worked out perfectly!!

Ingredients:
Yield: 4 servings 
Chicken, Sweet Potato Recipes, Apple Recipes, Healthy Dinner, 21 Day Fix Dinners, Clean Eating, Meal Planning, Lisa Decker, Successfully Fit
Chicken, Sweet Potatoes, and Apples Dinner
  • 3 tsp. olive oil, divided use
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 medium tart cooking apples (I used Granny Smith), peeled, cored, finely chopped
  •  2 small  baked sweet potatoes cut in to cubes
  • ¼ cup raisins
  • 4 small cooked chicken breasts, boneless, skinless, chopped
  • 1 tsp. chopped fresh sage
  • ¼ tsp. sea salt
  • ¼ tsp. ground black pepper
  • ¼ tsp. paprika
Preparation:
1. Heat 1½ tsp. oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
2. Add onion and apples; cook, stirring frequently, for 6 to 7 minutes, or until mixture begins to brown. Place in a large bowl.
3. Add potato, raisins, chicken, sage, salt, pepper, and paprika; mix well.
4. Heat remaining 1½ tsp. oil in skillet over medium heat.
5. Add apple mixture, pat into an even layer in pan; cook, without stirring, for 2 minutes.
6. Stir gently; cook an additional 2 minutes, or until it begins to brown. Serve immediately.
